Roundscad Core Living- Manila, Philippines

Influence

While creating this Senior Care Center, the inspiration for “Social Harmony” was the largest influence on the design. I drew from the colors that you see in the natural world which has its own natural harmony and force of nature: the Ocean. The textures of the coral create the tranquility you feel when you have everything you need within reach. Natural Movement show how the fish glide through the water with graceful movements, which has been proven to be mesmerizing to watch. The gentle, rhythmic motion can help to soothe the mind and promote relaxation. While watching natural movement, clients feel a closer connection to nature which also reduces stress and create inner peace. Integrating the traditional Philippines values into the interior design of the facility promotes independence, self-reflection and self-enjoyment within a community.

Working Concept

Concept Reprise and Design Solutions Social Harmony: Roundscad Core Living revolves around our schools of fish. The Philippines are a heavy fish consumer, and in their culture, fish is a large part of their diet and integrated in the way they view life. The Roundscad fish is the most commonly consumed fish in the area, so it would be a recognizable name for most. Fish are often viewed as a peaceful creature, which is intended to be felt at this facility. Core Living means Core Values. Finally, Social Harmony is the movement of the schools of fish in our ocean
